Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about my mother’s hobby: patchwork.

Creating a patchwork quilt is a labor of love. It requires incredible patience—sewing each small piece of fabric together, one by one. It’s hard work, but the joy of seeing the final pattern emerge is incomparable.

Looking at my own work lately—updating my website, starting TikTok, and writing these stories—I realized: it’s just like patchwork.

There are days when my creativity flows like a river, and I get so much done in a single burst of energy! But I’ve also learned that it’s not just about “feeling” motivated. There’s something deeper—a rhythm of the heart and mind.

To keep this journey going for a long time, I’ve realized that rest is just as important as the work itself. Just like putting down the needle for a cup of tea, I need to give myself moments of peace to recharge my creative soul.
