This morning, I found something small and mysterious in my garden. It was a tiny, unfinished wasp nest
A few hexagonal rooms were beautifully crafted, but it seems the little builder decided to stop midway and move somewhere else.
Looking at this tiny, abandoned nest brought a warm smile to my face.
“Maybe this isn’t the right spot after all.” “Perhaps there’s a better place waiting for me over there.”
I imagined the wasp having these exact thoughts as it changed its path. But here’s the beautiful thing: it only realized this because it actually started building. You never know if a place truly suits you until you give it a try.
As humans, we often pressure ourselves into thinking that once we start something, we must finish it perfectly. We sometimes view stopping or turning back as a failure. But that’s not true at all.
“Just try it first.” And if it doesn’t feel right, “find a new place.” This little nest reminded me of that gentle truth.
Let’s take it easy, follow our own pace, and find the place where we truly belong (Ibasho). 🌸
