I recently took a leap and went on a little “adventure.” I bought some matsutake, a special Japanese mushroom!

It’s definitely a luxury ingredient we don’t usually get. We had been talking about doing something special this year, so my family and I went to the store feeling so excited.

When I opened the bag of matsutake, I was completely surprised by the fragrance that filled the whole room! It was like I was instantly transported to a forest, and I was so moved to realize that a scent alone could make my heart leap with excitement.

When I grilled it and took a bite, I was blown away all over again. A new flavor I never knew existed exploded in my mouth, and it made me so happy to realize that “delicious” could be so powerful.

That day, I realized that it doesn’t have to be something expensive or grand. Just one small action can change your life, even if it’s just a little bit.
