Connecting the World Through Japanese: The Meaning Behind My Business Name

Lately, I’ve been reflecting once again on the origin of my business name.

I am Japanese, and I love the Japanese language. While living in Japan, it felt so ordinary that I didn’t fully realize its wonder. But after working overseas, I truly came to appreciate the depth and beauty of Japanese all over again.

The Japanese language is filled with words of deep gratitude, such as:

  • “Arigatou” (Thank you / How rare and precious it is)
  • “Okagesama de” (Thanks to others / Thanks to grace behind the scenes)
  • “Gokigenyou” (Wishing you well and peace)

These expressions reflect the realization that we are alive right now, and that we are who we are solely because of the people around us.

I love Japan, and I love the Japanese language. That feeling naturally connects to my own sense of patriotism and pride in my roots.

My thoughts may have wandered a bit, but this is why I want to share the wonderful aspects of Japan and the charm of the Japanese language. At the same time, through my lessons, I want to learn about the beauty of the home countries of the people who study with me.

“Connecting the world through Japanese.”

That is the pure and heartfelt wish woven into the name of my business.
