I want to write a blog post about self-efficacy. After all, you have to believe in yourself, don’t you?
“I can do this.” That ability to truly believe in yourself is sometimes called “self-efficacy” in psychology.
But leaving difficult words aside, I think what matters most at the end of the day is simply believing in yourself.
Whenever we worry about what others think or feel anxious, we tend to doubt ourselves. That’s precisely why we need to become our own biggest cheerleader and say, “It’s okay, I’ve got this.”
You don’t have to be perfect, and small steps are more than enough. Just acknowledging yourself with a “You’re doing great” gently melts away any tension in your heart.
You did well today, too. Why not start by taking a small step, simply by believing in yourself?
