Recently, I’ve made a conscious choice to go and visit the elderly people in my life, my relatives, and anyone else I am able to meet.
Age, of course, doesn’t really matter. None of us truly know when our time on this earth will come to an end, or when we might lose someone we love. We all live within a beautifully limited amount of time.
I never want to look back and think with regret, “I wish I had gone to see them when I had the chance.”
While we are busy putting things off until “someday,” that “someday” can disappear in the blink of an eye. That is why, as long as I have the opportunity and the health to do so, I choose to meet them now.
To look into the eyes of the people I love, hear their voices, and share the same space—these moments seem ordinary, but they are actually small miracles. I want to cherish each and every one of them.
If there is someone who just popped into your mind, or someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, please don’t hesitate. Reach out, send a message, or go see them while you can.
I hope your day is filled with warm connections and meaningful moments with the people you cherish.
