To those who feel like “escaping” from where they are right now

The mid-20s. It’s a time when you finally get used to your job, yet suddenly find yourself struggling with the thought, “Is this really how I want my life to be?” To be honest, I was desperately struggling back then, too. In my case, it wasn’t so much that I wanted to see the wide world; I simply wanted to “evacuate” from my environment. I just wanted to get out of there.

Preparing to “Escape” is an Effort to Save Yourself To change your environment, you need proper preparation. I decided to “save my target amount in one year!” and practiced extreme frugality. What I want to tell those who are in an environment that is painfully difficult right now is this: “It’s okay to leave.” Of course, leaving requires a great deal of effort. But please, never forget: Today is the youngest day of your life.

The “Different Kind of Hardship” I Learned in the Outside World After I actually jumped overseas, I went through other experiences that were so difficult I couldn’t possibly write them all here (lol). However, looking back now, I feel clearly that every single experience had meaning. Everything in life has its pluses and minuses.

  • To those who are single: Your “lightness” is your greatest weapon. You can go anywhere.
  • To those with families: Choosing an environment where you and your family smile more is NOT selfish.

“Happiness” Saves the Earth I won’t say pretty words like “Money isn’t necessary.” Money is necessary to live and to protect what you love. However, you being happy and in good spirits leads to the happiness of your family, your community, and—without exaggeration—this planet. You can’t reduce dissatisfaction to zero. But before that dissatisfaction explodes and breaks you, please, take action.

Finally: Announcement of a New Challenge Soon, with the hope that my experience can help someone, I will release a “Culinary work that achieves both time-saving and money-saving.” I never want to go back to those difficult times again (lol). But it is precisely because of those tough days that I gained the skills I have today. I hope my experience can make the “future” of those who are struggling right now even just a little bit lighter.
