Do you have a specific scent that instantly brings back a scenery from your past?

For me, the scent of the sea is the smell of my home. My family home has a beautiful view of the ocean, so whenever I am near the sea, that salty fragrance makes the entire landscape of my childhood spread out before my eyes. I can almost feel the breeze and see the waves from my window.

Then, there is the scent of incense. This fragrance always takes me back to my grandmother’s house. I remember her standing before the family altar, hands pressed together in prayer, thinking of my late grandfather. The gentle trail of incense smoke was the scent of her love and her memories.

Scents are like invisible threads that connect our hearts to the people and places we cherish.
